Ainscough Wind Energy Services have taken delivery of 4 new Toyota Hilux trucks, with added truckman to give more space for storage of specialist equipment and tools.
Toyota was chosen as the ‘best truck for the job’ in driving our onshore wind construction projects, as tested on Top Gear! Their ability to withstand tough terrains Ainscough works across in remote wind farm locations makes our new additions ideal for the most challenging tasks, with the added benefit of being able to take heavy punishment on the sites, where standard cars are not up to task.
“Wind energy is a key sector for growth at Ainscough – having the right tools for the job is part of our continued investment in Ainscough Wind Energy ” Derek Gow, Commercial Director.
Ainscough Crane Hire is pleased to announce that Anna Kingan has joined the business as Operations Director for the new South East Region. Anna brings with her a wealth of operational and commercial experience having held functional and senior leadership positions with Tyco International, and most recently with ASSA ABLOY Entrance Systems. This is a new post which will further strengthen the Regional Structure to provide an enhanced focus on our customer experience.
As we continue to invest and grow our depot network, we have moved from 3 to 4 regions. This will allow us to get closer to our customers and provide the high level of customer support that Ainscough Crane Hire delivers every day.
In a high risk industry, our number one priority is to keep our people and our customers out of harm’s way. As testament to our approach to minimising risk – ‘Make The Safe Choice’ – Operations & Maintenance Wind Technicians Andrew Evans and Gary Howells this month won an award from one of our clients, in recognition of ‘Safety at Work’.
Ainscough Wind Energy Services have taken over the Operations & Maintenance contract for Vattenfalls’ Parc Cynog wind farm; already our two safety-conscious technicians have been attending to various repairs on site. During one of these visits Andrew and Gary pointed out that some potential improvements to the site which they believed would benefit the safety of any person working there, which led to this award for the business. Well done to Andrew and Gary for taking a pro-active approach “Make the Safe Choice” and choose Ainscough Wind Energy Services.
The MK140 Mobile tower crane is set to carry Ainscough Crane Hire to new heights. Specially selected for its compact chassis capable of accessing tight spaces, maximum of 12 tonne axle loads coupled with good road speeds. The new MK140 Mobile tower crane arrives on site fully self-contained and has fast operator set up by use of a remote control. The MK140 brings a lot of advantages:
• Variable raised cab height gives the operator improved visibility of the load and the site
• Compact outrigger footprint allows set-up in narrow spaces
• Fast work cycles
• Substantially more fuel efficient and therefore environmentally friendly
• One man can erect and operate – no additional transport required
• Quiet in operation and with built-in work lights on the booms allowing night lifts
A greater range of cranes ultimately mean more capability for the business as a whole. The new tower crane will increase the potential for even more successful lift projects right across the UK.
Ready for its first job this weekend, Ainscough have taken delivery to meet increasing demand for contract lift solutions as more customers and contractors look to Ainscough for complex project support. A broader range of cranes will allow our teams to support a greater number of projects across the country. ‘Make the Safe Choice’ in choosing Ainscough for any lift in any location by calling 0800 272 637.
